Being a 1st time Mum I got a packet of Aldi nappies, Baby Love and Huggies to try. The Aldi nappies are massive on a 3.8kg newborn, compared to the other brands. I have also had leaks and find that moisture isn't absorbed into the nappy, so babys skin is wet when you change him.

Now with my 4th baby I bought a bulk box of the huggies in 4-8kg and similar size in the Mamia brand. DS was 4.8kg at birth and really didnt fit the newborn nappies even in the hospital. Initially I thought the Aldi nappies were less absorbant than the huggies and seemed slightly smaller.
Just thought I would mention them. Have used the mamia nappies before and been very impressed but didn't realise they did swim pants so bought a couple of packs. MUCH nicer than the Huggies ones and about 2/3 of the the price. These are proper pull on pants whereas the Huggies ones are nappies and seem to me to not do up properly ( perhaps its just me?) and I worry that if LO (little one) did ...
I got a couple of packs of Aldi nappies before DD was born. Don't stock up too much though as you won't be sure of size until baby is born and also your baby's slin may not agree with them. My DD can only wear Pampers as everything else I have tried - Aldi, Boots, Morrisons - gave her nappy rash.
Although the Aldi Mamia nappies are good quality and have lots of good features for example, re-sealable fasteners and that they are lasting and very good price per nappy, I prefer the Pampers Sensitive nappies as I feel they felt slightly better and fitted my baby better around her legs.
Mar 10, 2008·I use ALdi and huggies if they are on special - the baby love and the you love coles both gave jake nappy rash and the coles ones leak really badly. I have tried one snugglers that a friend gave me and was impressed with them - they are made by kimberly clark who make huggies I think.
